When and How To Use Evols (All)

C/w: Unhealthy behavior, Love and Deepspace, probably OOC for all of them (especially Sylus), All x Reader, Reader can be MC or not, Reader had different personalities (?) with each LI, very suggestive (b-because Xavier... and others), implied yandere content (because Caleb... and maybe another) A/n: So… please y'all already know I- Look. One would think having an evol that just illuminates in the dark would be quite useless.

… Well…

If not for Resonance, its only use seems to be limited to only serving as a distraction, a flicker across a Wanderer’s eye as a materialized sword slices through its neck, or its ability to steal the light source away from one’s surroundings. Perhaps, one may argue it does lend to its known user, Xavier’s ability to be able to quickly teleport from point A to point B. The known uses past these details are currently unknown.

There is one unique thing that Xavier does choose to use it for, and it usually involves drawing adorable images with casted lines of light.

“Stay still.”

You bite your bottom lip as you watch him caress across your exposed thighs. Soft fingers trace from your knee to your lap, snaking left and right before dragging towards the inner parts of your thighs and then sliding downwards to start at your knees before repeating that motion. Lines of sparking platinum and gold are left behind in swirls and messy waves, like a very familiar mess after a heated session.

Honestly, if anyone asked what happened, Xavier would claim it was your fault how you got into this position.

After watching him cast his light in the claw machine in the nearby arcade for the nth time, you might’ve… accidentally hurt his feelings when you decided you needed to speak up about how… unnecessary, for the lack of better word, his evol was when it came to this endeavor. In your defense, you figured it was to his benefit for him to save his energy to fight Wanderers instead of using it for a gacha system rigged to eat up your coins.

“Xaviierrr,” you whine.

You want nothing more than to grab his hand and put it to better use, but unfortunately, your wrists have been bound to the bed frame by none other than that very unnecessary evol of his. You hadn’t realized his light was tangible until now. To be fair, you’d only seen it in battle and during firework events. How would you know he could create things like this?

His blue eyes flicker towards you momentarily before refocusing on his “work”. A heavy pout still remains upon his lips. “Hmph.”

Was it already mentioned that while you were taking home an already pouty plushie-less Xavier, you had decided to drop by a bakery to buy some bread on your way home. And of course, there was that strangely confident guy Charlie who ended up being there.

Of course, your pouty bunny didn’t like that. So he took you home. Right after. In record time, actually. Your freshly baked bread was now lying on the table, growing staler by the minute.

Was there anything the genius surgeon couldn’t make, at your request?

Of course, to reach the level of detail he puts into every single one of his little creations requires a gentle touch and focused precision. For a man whose scarred hands can so skillfully cut and stitch up wounds for what is arguably the most vital organ in the body, one must be awed by how composed he is whenever these high tension operations end up in failure. Not only that, but consider how gracefully he reacts when yelled at by angry, grieving relatives. How does he do it? His restraint is admirable.

You beam up at him, tilting your chin up to showcase the delicate line of lace-like snow around your neck. “Wow! Since your snow never melts, this could totally be an heirloom, ya know?” you tease, tenderly caresses it. It had a slight chill, being made of ice and snow after all, but not enough to cause frostbite if you wore it for extended periods of time. As expected of your kind and considerate doctor.

He smiles that mysterious smile of his, one where his eyes are as warm as a small ray of light on a small patch of green grass in the middle of a snowy landscape. “Even if you pass it down, I hardly think anyone with good taste would want to wear it.”

You gasp before pouting and slapping him on the arm. “Zayne!”

He chuckles.

After giving it a moment, you grin sleazily. “On second thought, you’re right. This only looks good on me anyway. A necklace made just for me. Why thank you, Zayne~”

“You’re very welcome. Also, I constructed it so it won’t fall off so easily.”

“Is that so? As expected of the great genius surgeon of Akso Hospital.”

You both continue strolling about the park area in comfortable silence until it is time for him to return to work. Your eyes glance over to him as you think about your future. Despite your amicable relationship with the man, you’ve yet to actually confess your feelings. You wonder how he feels about you, given that he always meets your requests without a single complaint. Giving you such a pretty necklace like this… You didn’t want to ruin a relationship as good as this just because you wanted to hold his hand for once.

You sigh forlornly.

“Is there something wrong?”

Ah. There’s that loveable concern of his.

To keep yourself from accidentally confessing, you bring your hands up to the back of your necklace. “I can't help but think about when I’d ever wear such a pretty necklace like this again. I’m heading out on a mission tomorrow and I would hate to… to… Huh?”

You feel all around the necklace, trying to find that familiar sensation of a clasp or a fastener, only to find more snowflakes. You look towards Zayne. “Hey Zayne, how do you take this off?”

He smiles, though his yellow eyes are not as warm as earlier. “I thought you were worried about it falling off…”

Restraint, huh…

“Hey Rafayel!”

“Hm?”

“Why the heck do you have a fire evol when you come from the ocean?”

It boggles the mind really. Does it make any sense why a fish man should have the ability to manipulate flames? Flames? Fire? With water? That goes against anything logical in this world.

Time travel? Technological issue. Wanderers? Biological issue. A fish man wielding flames? Inconceivable.

And yet, this man exists. Sitting there on the ground, all bent over a canvas on his lap with splatters of paint around him like an altar.

Rayafel sends a glare towards you. “I’ll answer that question once you explain why you brought that thing in.”

The thing he is referring, currently purring in your arms, is none other than Mr. Scrumbles. He is a Devon Rex cat, and he is adorable.

“And why is it so… scrawny? And curly-haired?”

I could say the same about you, you think. “I promised a friend to watch over him today. I can’t exactly leave him at home by himself, can I?”

He gives you an incredulous look. “Why did you say yes? You’re supposed to be my bodyguard!”

“Well, I didn’t realize I’d be accompanying you today until you called me.”

He pouted and went back to sketching. “Shouldn’t you always be ready to guard me? Do you need a pay raise? You’re so greedy.”

You roll your eyes as you continue to poke at Mr. Scrumbles’ jelly beans. “Yes, yes…”

…..

You look towards him. “So why do you have a fire evol?” you ask again.

“Why shouldn’t I have a fire evol?” he answers, without looking up from his canvas.

“Uh, because you come from the ocean?”

He holds a pencil up and closes an eye before marking some areas. “I don’t see how that’s relevant.”

“Really?” You shake your head. “Imagine trying to light up a fire underwater. It’ll be completely useless.”

He glances towards you as he sketches more lines. “A regular fire, sure. But mine? It burns brighter and hotter than any wave can bear. It will never go out, not as long as I will it.”

“Is that so? Huh.” You scoff, turning away from him as a sly thought crosses your mind. “The eternal flame, huh? Then the next time I take a vacation, I should just kidnap you and keep you as my fireplace keeper.”

“Icouldbeyourheaterinstead,” he mumbles.

“Huh?”

“Would you stop moving so much? And stop looking at me. It’s ruining my concentration.”

He throws a glare at you, making you huff in irritation as you look away. “Fine!”

“Meow!”

Unbeknownst to you, on his canvas was the faint sketch of a certain bodyguard and what could only be described as a body of a cat in their arms.

Let’s be honest. What hasn’t Sylus used his very versatile evol for?

Binding people? Check. Ripping apart enemies? Check. Moving from point A to point B? Check. Keeping you stu- occupied? Check.

Actually… about that…

“Is it just me or do you want something, kitten?”

Sitting on one of his leather couches in his mansion, you and Sylus are yet again at opposite ends for some reason. Luke and Kieran have yet to figure out why the two of you are constantly like this.

You won’t admit it. You vehemently refuse to admit it. Admitting it would be letting go of your pride, and that is the one thing you refuse to give up. Especially to that damn tease of a man.

You turn your head away. “No.”

“Are you sure?”

“I’m sure.”

He hums, clearly amused as he checks his fingernails. “I won’t do anything you don’t want me to. You know that.”

“I know.”

You know it, gosh darn it! And that is why this man frustrates you beyond all reason. Not even losing a hundred dollars to that stupid claw machine without a single prize could amount to the hatred you have for playing into this man’s games.

“And I’d give you everything. Only need just a single word.”

“Hmph.”

You cross your legs, matching your crossed arms, as you ignore the heat that is currently brewing in your body. Not that you would admit it, but his deep voice was a ridiculously hot factor of his. Which he absolutely knows how to use.

“Why are you so stubborn?”

“Why are you so persistent?” you shoot back.

“If you don’t like it, just say so.”

“.....” You press your lips together.

Somehow, even without looking, you know he’s smirking. “I thought so.”

You shrug, showcasing your nonchalance. “Well, you seem to want something. Why don’t you tell me, huh?”

“And what fun would that be?”

You scoff. “Typical.”

“We could do this all day… or…” He moves from leaning back on the couch to laying his head down on your lap.

You glare down at him as he smirks back up to you.

He shifts his head. “Aren’t you going to tell me to get off?”

You turn your chin up. “Why should I?”

“Stubborn kitty.”

“Stupid dragon.”

“Hm.” He closes his eyes, a closed-lipped smile on his face.

“Hmph.”

“.....”

You tilt your head down and pout. “I’m bored.”

He opens one eye. “And?”

“Entertain me.”

“Oh? How?”

You shift your legs slightly. Not enough to knock his head off, but enough to send a message. “Use your evol,” you command.

Sylus shifts his body so that he’s sitting up, so he can lean down and nuzzle his nose against yours. His eyes are soft, despite their vibrant redness. “As you wish, kitten.”

Life always felt lighter when he was around…

“Caleb! Let me down!”

“Haha. Not until you admit that I won.”

“Never!”

“Alright~ Another five minutes in air jail~”

“Calebbb!”

Sometimes, when you close your eyes, you’d think back to those laughter-filled carefree days where all you had to worry about was making sure you did your homework and passed your exams. Having someone to spend those days with certainly helped slow down the impending doom of endless adulthood.

“You’re being quiet. Whatcha thinking about?”

Your eyes pop open, gasping as your whole body shifts backward suddenly. Gloved fingers grip onto the flesh of your hips. Your own fingers grip onto the sheets in front of you, your knuckles turning white with every forced movement.

He leans down, overlaying your upper half with his own. He nuzzles the back of your head before giving you tender kisses. As if that makes up for what he’s doing with your lower half. You squeezing around him from the tender gesture doesn’t help either.

“Mm…” Ceasing his movement, he kisses the back of your neck and between your shoulder blades. “Hey… Relax. I’m not going to hurt you.”

You only whine as you try to wiggle out of his grasp.

He sighs, as you feel a pressure weighing down your body. His evol. “Why do you keep trying to leave me? Why?” His voice is desperate and longing.

You wish you could scream out at him. Demand why he’s doing what he’s doing. Ask him why he kept the fact he was alive from you for so long. Maybe land a punch or two, like you used to. But with his liberal use of his gravity evol over you, you’ve grown used to this… helplessness. Only in instances like now do you still dare to try even the slightest movement, only to yet again be crushed under the weight of his gravity.

“On second thought, don’t answer that.” He begins moving again.

The law of gravity states that “what comes up, must come down.” In Caleb’s case, he soared so high in the sky to the point of nearly dying. Now, all he wants now is to make sure he doesn’t leave the ground anymore. Not when there’s you to protect.

Even if that means clipping your wings.

Tumblr and Wordpress are preparing to sell user data to Midjourney and OpenAI, according to a source with internal knowledge about the deals and internal documentation referring to the deals.

The exact types of data from each platform going to each company are not spelled out in documentation we’ve reviewed, but internal communications reviewed by 404 Media make clear that deals between Automattic, the platforms’ parent company, and OpenAI and Midjourney are imminent.

The internal documentation details a messy and controversial process within Tumblr itself. One internal post made by Cyle Gage, a product manager at Tumblr, states that a query made to prepare data for OpenAI and Midjourney compiled a huge number of user posts that it wasn’t supposed to. It is not clear from Gage’s post whether this data has already been sent to OpenAI and Midjourney, or whether Gage was detailing a process for scrubbing the data before it was to be sent.

Gage wrote:

“the way the data was queried for the initial data dump to Midjourney/OpenAI means we compiled a list of all tumblr’s public post content between 2014 and 2023, but also unfortunately it included, and should not have included:

private posts on public blogs

posts on deleted or suspended blogs

unanswered asks (normally these are not public until they’re answered)

private answers (these only show up to the receiver and are not public)

posts that are marked ‘explicit’ / NSFW / ‘mature’ by our more modern standards (this may not be a big deal, I don’t know)

content from premium partner blogs (special brand blogs like Apple’s former music blog, for example, who spent money with us on an ad campaign) that may have creative that doesn’t belong to us, and we don’t have the rights to share with this-parties; this one is kinda unknown to me, what deals are in place historically and what they should prevent us from doing.”

Gage’s post makes clear that engineers are working on compiling a list of post IDs that should not have been included, and that password-protected posts, DMs, and media flagged as CSAM and other community guidelines violations were not included.

Automattic plans to launch a new setting on Wednesday that will allow users to opt-out of data sharing with third parties, including AI companies, according to the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, and internal documents. A new FAQ section we reviewed is titled “What happens when you opt out?” states that “If you opt out from the start, we will block crawlers from accessing your content by adding your site on a disallowed list. If you change your mind later, we also plan to update any partners about people who newly opt-out and ask that their content be removed from past sources and future training.”

404 Media has asked Automattic how it accidentally compiled data that it shouldn’t share, and whether any of that content was shared with OpenAI. 404 Media asked Automattic about an imminent deal with Midjourney last week but did not hear back then, either. Instead of answering direct questions about these deals and the compiling of user data, Automattic sent a statement, which it posted publicly after this story was published, titled "Protecting User Choice." In it, Automattic promises that it's blocked AI crawlers from scraping its sites. The statement says, "We are also working directly with select AI companies as long as their plans align with what our community cares about: attribution, opt-outs, and control. Our partnerships will respect all opt-out settings. We also plan to take that a step further and regularly update any partners about people who newly opt out and ask that their content be removed from past sources and future training."

Another internal document shows that, on February 23, an employee asked in a staff-only thread, “Do we have assurances that if a user opts out of their data being shared with third parties that our existing data partners will be notified of such a change and remove their data?”

Andrew Spittle, Automattic’s head of AI replied: “We will notify existing partners on a regular basis about anyone who's opted out since the last time we provided a list. I want this to be an ongoing process where we regularly advocate for past content to be excluded based on current preferences. We will ask that content be deleted and removed from any future training runs. I believepartners will honor this based on our conversations with them to this point. I don't think they gain much overall by retaining it.” Automattic did not respond to a question from 404 Media about whether it could guarantee that people who opt out will have their data deleted retroactively.

News about a deal between Tumblr and Midjourney has been rumored and speculated about on Tumblr for the last week. Someone claiming to be a former Tumblr employee announced in a Tumblr blog post that the platform was working on a deal with Midjourney, and the rumor made it onto Blind, an app for verified employees of companies to anonymously discuss their jobs. 404 Media has seen the Blind posts, in which what seems like an Automattic employee says, “I'm not sure why some of you are getting worked up or worried about this. It's totally legal, and sharing it publicly is perfectly fine since it's right there in the terms & conditions. So, go ahead and spread the word as much as you can with your friends and tech journalists, it's totally fine.”

Separately, 404 Media viewed a public, now-deleted post by Gage, the product manager, where he said that he was deleting all of his images off of Tumblr, and would be putting them on his personal website. A still-live postsays, “i've deleted my photography from tumblr and will be moving it slowly but surely over to cylegage.com, which i'm building into a photography portfolio that i can control end-to-end.” At one point last week, his personal website had a specific note stating that he did not consent to AI scraping of his images. Gage’s original post has been deleted, and his website is now a blank page that just reads “Cyle.” Gage did not respond to a request for comment from 404 Media.

Several online platforms have made similar deals with AI companies recently, including Reddit, which entered into an AI content licensing deal with Google and said in its SEC filing last week that it’s “in the early stages of monetizing [its] user base” by training AI on users’ posts. Last year, Shutterstock signed a six year deal with OpenAI to provide training data.

OpenAI and Midjourney did not respond to requests for comment.

Everyone loves a good tea. Especially now when every sheep on the internet has its own “tea page”. Is the tea any good? Is it half believable? Is it logical? NO! It’s mostly a cry for help from a person with too much time on their hands. Let me explain. The tea is never for example

1.“ I work at Taco Bell and Henry Cavill walked in and gave everyone a tip/walked in and didn’t want to give anyone an autograph”.

2. “ I worked at this event ( shows pictures of themselves at the event) and Henry Cavill had too many drinks and danced on tables/ had too many drinks and flirted with everyone”

3. “ my friend works for a production company and Henry Cavill will be signing for a new role this and that”.

It’s never like this that would make it seem they actually did meet /met him and they are sharing an experience. That’s not the case with our very own troll tea pages.

Troll tea pages have Henry’s entire family,his cousins, school friends,friends,co workers,directors and their families,producers,other actors and their families,his gardener,his cleaning lady,his manager,publicist, his lawyers, their employees the guys from the pub,the guy from the supermarket, his driver,his hair stylist calling a dming a random person on the internet burning with desire to share all of the “tea” about Henry. Hundreds and hundreds of people out there hating Henry so much that they will share everything,jeopardise their jobs and reputation,without any financial gain to tell Jane,and Amy and Sherry and Anny and some tumblr users with 5 followers every detail of his life. NDA’s will be broken,because all of these people in his life are desperate to share “tea” with an unknown person.

“Use critical thinking” except on the person that is sharing the tea cuz if you criticise them asking for a receipt then you’re just a bully. You must trust them and their tea with your whole life. They would never lie for attention. They promise 🤥

They somehow know every private conversation Henry has with people. But do they know the gender of his baby? No. They know all of the legal documents he has signed ,the paternity test he has done but do they know the child’s name? Also no. If you use critical thinking and your source is close to Henry and they don’t care about NDA’s how come they didn’t tell you the child’s name? If we dig a little deeper and you were told about the end of PR and documents have been signed how come you can’t tell us what date was it signed ✍️? What date is it ending? Sorry are we not supposed to use our critical thinking?

“They will make a public appearance soon”. Really? You don’t say? A very famous actor who is very much known publicly will make a public appearance with his long term partner and the mother of his child? Holy granoly who could have predicted that? Not me. Not us. If that isn’t a piping hot tea then idk what is.

The moral of the story is that no matter how much you’re desperate to have your 5 minutes of attention,eventually,just like all the other “tea” for the past 4 years,will turn into a pile of shit eventually and then they will start another Instagram/twitter/tumblr page with “new tea” and the entire 2025 we will listen to “pr ending”.

Worldbuilding: Light, the Element (ft. my trash doodles)

Light is not only the, y’know, light, in this world, but a substance that gives life to all light creatures. Pure light is the basic form of light, which can be split into 6 other types of light: Red light, which coalesces in the presence of Darkness, orange light, which is formed in flame, green light, which can be found in the soil and in plant life, cyan light (Tumblr needs more text colors), which gathers in the air, blue light, which forms in water, and purple light, which originated with the memories and imaginations of Ancestors flowing back to Megabird.

How different types of light affect the world (this is also the cool magic section)

Pure light, or the golden glowy stuff that recharges you, is actually just the undiluted power of Megabird and what gives all creatures life. It can dispel Darkness much more effectively than other types of Light, which means that a lot of skykid healers learn how to utilize it to patch up wounds and cure or delay corruption. Guides may learn to use it to patch up basic wounds on them or the individuals they are leading, but also utilize it to light their way or make sure that there aren’t any Dark creatures lurking behind a corner, and realmguards (tentative name) learn how to use it in combat.

Pure light can be infused into a weapon or be used to create one temporarily, and the weapon can take whatever form the caster wishes, as long as they have enough light for it. So yes, a skykid can fight a Dark Dragon with a pot.

Anyways, weapons that have pure light in them inflict a burning sensation on Dark creatures that are struck with the weapon and can also temporarily stun them if a lot of light is concentrated into an attack. This will also affect corrupted skykids, but the intensity will vary based on the severity of their corruption. It can also be weaponized via a staff- by conjuring and firing orbs of light at a target, or detonating them shortly after they are summoned, which works like a flashbang.

Pure light can also be used for defense, by taking one of the same orbs used for projectile attacks and sort of stretching it out into a bubble around the user.

The Elder blessings are essentially a more complex version of this- usually the shield is inactive and takes the form of the glowing crest above the wearer’s head, but when it detects that they are about to take a hit from a Dark creature or be extinguished, it activates.

Pure light is also utilized in ceremonies of remembrance or anything that has to do with Megabird, such as the Relight (an event to remember Skykids who have returned to Her wings) or when the Prophets attempt to contact Megabird.

A common misconception is that Red Light is inherently dangerous, due to its association with the shards of Eden, which are actually dangerous. But it’s not harmful at all outside of shards; in fact, red light is used to make Krill Repellent Potions. It can mask the presence of other types of Light from Dark creatures. The reason that active shards are red is that the light being sucked in is mixing with the Darkness of the Darkstone and the unstable Darkness particles the stones give off. Skykids cannot use this type of light naturally, and must use external sources, so it’s not really popular to learn how to use. The only people who would really be using it are realmguards, who usually stick to the versions of red light spells that are crafted in the Forgotten Ark or the pure light versions of the spell. Red light can be used defensively as a barrier like the shield spell, and it can hide your light from Dark creatures, but the shield is very brittle and will break with a single crab attack.

Orange light, aka the Fire Element, is the closest to pure light of the six colored lights, making it an easier element to learn for the average Sky Child. It is the second most effective type of light at keeping away and getting rid of darkness (as long as it isn’t in water), albeit destructive, and was the main defense against Darkness in the time of the Ancestors. Its warmth makes a skykid’s body softer and more malleable, and can be used to change one’s size more easily. Healers use it to make healing cuts and gashes an easier process, and size change potions all utilize the effects of orange light on skykids to work. Users of orange light based magic can manipulate fire and conjure it. In the former case, an orange light wielder can make a flame travel on top of and through surfaces, jump into their hands, or float in the air. They can create walls or pillars of flame, fireballs, or at high levels animal-like flame constructs. It can also be used to shapeshift, though this process is extremely complex and for Skykids, requires a mask as a catalyst. Orange light can also be infused into objects, making them give off warmth and in higher concentrations flame, but be careful with flammable objects, as too much will cause the object to burn.

The green light is the element of the land. It not only allows for manipulation of rock and soil, but the proliferation of plants. It is used to boost the growth of plants by plant growers of all kinds. Special potions can be made with this stuff that essentially acts like fertilizer, and its efficacy is being tested in the Forgotten Ark to see if more land can be restored with it.

Users of green light-based magic can manipulate the life force of plants and placement of soil and rocks, and “talk” to plants (honking at them) to try to get them to grow a certain way. They can suddenly make a plant way bigger or make it shrivel and die (why would you do that? You monster), create fissures in the ground, cause parts of the ground to suddenly shoot up, or instantly create platforms under their feet if there is soil to pull to their location. Green light can also be infused into objects, making clay or stone objects more sturdy or making plants that the object touches grow, for example. Cyan light is the element of the air. It can be used to control the winds, and make stuff float without requiring your braincells. This is how the flying race is a thing, the Elders’ power creates a constant gust in that area. It is one of the harder elements to learn since it is harder to control, but can greatly improve your mobility and speed. It can be bottled for use as a portable wind gust, and high concentrations of cyan light create things like the wind tunnels in the Wind Paths. It’s used by those who need that mobility boost- mailkids and racers, and even just the average candle runner come to mind.

Cyan light based magic includes the ability to create gusts of wind at will, quicken your movement, and summon or change the shape of clouds. When infused into an object, it can make the object lighter, or heavier, or more aerodynamic. You can enchant a weapon to send out a sharp beam of wind when you swing it as well (like the Windcleaver from BotW) This power can also bring down flying objects, which is useful for the flying Dark Plants sometimes spawned by Eden shards.

The dark blue light, or Water Element, controls the tides. It is powerful and terrifying for sure, but also a helpful friend. When combined with the Air Element, you can make ice or as mentioned, summon a storm. It depends on the ratio of each light. More dark blue? Ice. More light blue? Clouds. One place where a lot of Skykids learn to use this element is the Hidden Forest, what with the constant rain.

Blue light magic allows you to control water (both in a liquid form or vapor form). This type of magic can allow you to form objects from water, control tides and the flow of water, create ice, protect yourself from the Hidden Forest rain, give yourself a boost of speed when moving through water, or walk on water like in the Water Trial. It can also be used to purify air or water. When infused into an object, it’s actually kind of a pain in the ass to move and keep your hands on when it’s on dry land, but makes the object easier to move in water.

The purple light is the oddball element. As I mentioned, it’s the element of memory and imagination, allowing one to create illusions, repair and interact with such illusions, and do telekinesis. It is the power of the Vault of Knowledge,and an overabundance of this light is what makes the higher floors look so nonsensical for a library. It’s what makes shared spaces, memory cubes, and memory recordings a thing. Knowledge of how to use purple light magic is required for skykids who want to do memory cube and shared memory repair/modification, along with a lot of other jobs in the Vault, and on the higher levels of the Vault this type of magic has a very real effect on the user’s surroundings, which means you can do simulations of real things in the Vault. Lamed can reset the area back to its normal state if need be, so usually it isn’t a big deal. Purple light magic also allows for a whole range of other abilities related to memory and imagination, like levitation and animation of inanimate objects (at very advanced levels.) When infused into an object, the caster can move the objects around in the air or on the ground around them with their mind, and somewhat manipulate their properties. The objects can also be catalysts for illusions, like making a spear look bigger and sharper than it actually is.

So yeah, that’s an overview of the different types of light. Next up? I don’t know.

Also, I’m sorry, I couldn’t deliver on my promise to add drawings in the way I wanted to. I was going to add more, but I ran out of juice after typing all that, and couldn’t think of skykids to draw, so I used the basic unlit look, and that just demotivated me even more… Maybe I’ll revisit the magic thing later, but for now, you get to look at the (first) Text Monstrosity ™
